Candidate Information
March 23 at 4pm is the Candidate Petition Filing Deadline for the Primary election
Republican Primary elections are now OPEN elections. The days of an approved candidate on the County line for the Primary election is over. An open Primary means you do not have to have the approval of our Manville GOP Municipal Chair to run in the Primary election. All Manville candidates will need to have 50+ signatures.
Candidate Requirements: Applicants must 18+ years of age and a registered voter of Manville.

Primary Election Day is on
June 2, 2026
May 12 is the deadline to register to vote in the Primary Election.
Our voting location for all 7 districts is at the VFW Post 2290, 600 Washington Avenue, Manville, NJ 08835. Your voting district will be printed on the front of the sample ballot you will receive in the mail. Polls open at 6 o’clock A.M. and close at 8 o’clock P.M.

May 26 is the last day to apply for a Vote By Mail ballot
Your vote-by-mail ballot MUST be postmarked on or before 8:00 p.m. on Election Day and be received by Somerset County’s Board of Elections on or before the sixth day after the close of the polls. Or place your vote-by-mail ballot in the ballot drop box by Borough Hall by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. NOTE: Your Vote-By-Mail ballot CANNOT be returned to your In-Person Early Voting Poll Location or your Election Day Poll Location.

Early voting will be open from May 26 - May 31 (the in-person early voting period). Hours will be Monday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. and Sunday, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
